VIRTUAL: axe-con 2024
The American Disabilities Act (ADA) has historically affected physical spaces. As websites are becoming a common area for people to do business, congress established that they are also considered public spaces and thus they are liable to follow the ADA. There has been a rise in class action lawsuits directed at websites, including in our fly fishing industry, making claims that they do not follow the ADA especially with respect to the visually impaired population. We want to offer resources that our members have found helpful in making their websites accessible including the team from Deque.
Deque is offering a free training opportunity to learn how to build, test, monitor, and maintain digital accessibility. Axe-con is the world’s largest digital accessibility conference that welcomes developers, designers, business users, and accessibility professionals of all experience levels to an accessibility conference focused on building, testing, and maintaining accessible digital experiences.
