Guides, outfitters and lodges are the fastest growing segment of AFFTA membership, and for good reason. Each of our guide members has a big job to do every year, and usually only a few months to make their season count in order to provide for their entire year. We recognize that at AFFTA, and we aim to give these boots-on-the-ground ambassadors of fishing the best tools possible to make the most of their seasons.

This is a huge opportunities for guides, outfitters and lodges to network, investigate new products and connect with industry media. Additionally, AFFTA is a huge supporter of The Fly Fishing Shows, a long-running series of nationwide consumer shows to connect industry professionals with fishing consumers.
AFFTA Fisheries Fund
The AFFTA Fisheries Fund was created as a funding arm for fisheries conservation and education efforts. This targeted giving program is aimed at preserving habitat, wildlife and access to our healthy fisheries, and also growing new anglers. Grant applications are collected quarterly and awarded throughout the year. Members are also encouraged to make tax deductible donations to the Fisheries Fund.
Advocacy & Government Affairs
Without access to healthy fisheries, guides, outfitters and lodges would not be able to continue to business. One of AFFTA’s biggest industry efforts is speaking out on behalf of anglers at the federal, state and local level on issues important to the growth of our business. From conservation issues such as the Clean Water Act to access issues such as the Utah Stream Access Coalition, AFFTA works with our seasoned Government Affairs staff, board and lobbyists to ensure the fly fishing industry continues to move forward in the years to come.
