Art began fly fishing on his family farm in Missouri at the age of 5. In the ‘80’s, he guided the spring-fed rivers of the Ozarks and made his first pilgrimage to Yellowstone, living out of the back of a worn out 4-Runner. From his earliest days, fly fishing has been in his blood.
With two long stints in the advertising agency world, holding down positions from Art Director to Creative Director to Owner, Art has crafted marketing communications for brands like Jack Daniel’s, Budweiser, Mercury Marine, Volvo, Jaguar, Six Flags, Kodak, Sheraton Hotels, Orient-Express Hotels, The British Virgin Islands, Aspen Colorado, and more—taking a brief sabbatical between to guide the Pere Marquette and put fly anglers on more steelhead, salmon and trout than he can count, including the state record catch-and-release steelhead in ‘94.
A cast member of the F3T film, Tidewater, and obsessed (and successful) saltwater tournament angler, Art now co-owns and produces the Emmy Award-winning show, Silver Kings, along with Captain Jared Raskob, which tells the story of giant migrating tarpon, the anglers obsessed by them, and the precious environments in which they reside.
The married father of two has caught over 90 species of fish around the world on a fly rod, is a veteran speaker at IFTD and the Dealer Summit, and calls the Florida Keys home.
