Speaker Profile: Dan Mann of The Mann Group
Prior to The Mann Group, Dan successfully led the largest privately owned men’s clothing retailer in the US–Bachrach. Based on his 25 years “in the trenches” of retail — rising within the corporation from Sales Associate, Store Manager, District Manager, Director of Stores (all 76) and then Vice President of Retail, Dan made keen observations, applied his wit and sound business learning to what he called customer communication and rolled this learning across Bachrach, helping to make it the best within the industry.
Based on that experience and his vision for better retail, in 2003 he founded The Mann Group in Asheville, NC. Today with offices in Asheville, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit and Banff Canada, Dan leads an organization that is impacting specialty retail and manufacturer profits across North America.
His vision for The Mann Group was to create a company that inspires leaders, influences change, impacts profit (and gives him more time to ride his mountain bike.) That last one hasn’t worked out so well, but with a series of products and strategies that he has developed, The Mann Group is a nationally known leader in helping specialty retailers and manufactures get results. Dan seems to think he always has something important to say, so he is a busy public speaker, consultant and business strategist. In addition to strategic planning, comprehensive marketing services and custom rep training offered by The Mann Group, Dan developed the cutting-edge sales management program known as “GEAR”, based on decades with a proven track record. It is the only results-based retail sales management program in the market today.
Speaker Profile: Robin Enright of Merchandising Matters
Robin Enright is the founder of Merchandising Matters which works to create an enhanced emotional connection between buyer and seller through precisely crafted visual merchandising for outdoor retailers, brands and their agencies. Her client list includes Buff, Inc. Angler’s Covey, Sea to Summit, Cascade Designs, and GSI Outdoors. Robin is also the Merchandising Editor for SNEWS® and leads merchandising tours at Outdoor Retailer winter and summer markets (co-sponsored by Outdoor Retailer and SNEWS®). She is an outdoor enthusiast and was awarded a coveted artist-in-residence spot as a writer at Rocky Mountain National Park during the summer of 2012.
When she isn’t working, you can find her on the yoga mat or hiking and riding somewhere in Colorado.
